Only a man like Suave could love an anime like Eiken.

why am I not surprised that Media Blasters brought this over?
Okay, seriously? Am I the only one suffering through stuttering playback issues that slows my browser down to a crawl? What browsers is everyone using?
If I remember correctly, you did a crossover with JesuOtaku on Eiken. So, does this count as a re-review? Even so, I feel like not much was covered……. But then again, what else is there to say about this OVA, except unappealing fan service?
yeah not much to talk about here besides it pointless existence.
Maybe, in JO review he was as Sage, here he is Suave.
and sweet! Adult Swim Month II!
I feel sorry for the VAs. They couldn’t have possibley been payed enough to have their names on this disgrace.
Um, how should I put this…
Well, that was… Interesting. But at least Suave was his usually amusing self. And that’s a plus. Right?
As an English Major, that joke following her sentence fragments made me laugh hard. Thank you.
I love me some huge bewbies but holy shit is this ridiculous! Also, didn’t you cover this OVA in a crossover with JesuOtaku a few years back?
He did 🙂 Suave didn’t materialised in own person, so Sage was really pervy there 😛 I found the review here: http://vk.com/video-43328938_167347866
Jesus, man, please turn your lighting down a notch.
This is easily the worst anime I’ve ever seen, or at least the very bottom rung of the worst anime.
I think they are going by Japanese breast cup sizes for the F-cup of the girl’s breast, but the artist/show still seem to have no clue how breast sizes work.
Finally, to add an extra layer of creepy. The short girl with pink hair and overly huge breast, she’s 12…. think about that for a bit.
I almost forgot how horrendous the eng dub is. I’ll stick to the jap dub.
Here’s a little fact. This OVA is said to have been originally 3 or 4 episode and would introduce Miharu, the other girl in the cover art, but something happened, not sure what exactly but I suppose it has to do with money, and the OVA became only two episodes, which were a year apart from each other, that very roughly covers the events of Volumes 1-3 of the manga. And when I say “roughly” I mean the creator gave the studio small cliff-notes of what he was doing at the time since the manga was early in its run and the animation studio just made their own scenario based on that little info. Honestly, the manga is tame in comparison to what happens in this OVA and actually comprehensible.
Well, can’t wait for Adult Swim month. Is there a reason why you don’t call it Toonami month or is that further down the line.
Another little known fact: The manga lasted 18 volumes, which is longer than the Death Note manga……. Just let that sink in for a bit.
Ehh, not surprising. Harem RomComs tend to go on and as long as sales are good, the creator keeps working and can end it whenever he/she feels it right. Clearly, Eiken had good sales in Japan.
Not necessarily. Editors and the companies the writers work for tend to have more control. They can tell the writer to change things (for better or worse) and tell them when they can finish. If it’s making money, they will pressure the writer to write more. Keep in mind, this isn’t the case everywhere. Just depends on who the person works for.
Oh my, what an absolute delight.
Ugh, tits those huge aren’t even sexy, that’s just… that’s body horror. They look like they started Tetsuo-ing and then saw where it would lead and just stopped a little ways in. FFS. Those girls need to seek Dr. Black Jack’s help, because they’ve probably all absorbed a twin in the womb and he can populate a small village with his artificial doll people from those things.
The Loli character with the biggest rack in the group gets me every time. I know theres a small discussion in the comments in your last video about how bull shit ‘boob comparison in locker room’ scenes are, but this anime takes it to whole new levels of insanity.
What I never get is why the main love interest is such a mopey thing. I dunno why I dont think in either this review or JO’s old review back when he covered this, have I heard her speak, smile, or look anything other than confused and sad.
When he said “not as bad as the Futanari Club. That was a confusing day, but not a bad day.” my first thought was “Are you kidding me, not a bad day, it was an awesome day. Confusing yes but still awesome. God damn I have weird fetishes. Oh well.”
I have heard of Eiken in passing, and have seen one clip repeated once to give me a vague idea, but know it onyl from reputation.
And, having witnessed it, I think this was in the running for the most uncomfortable watch of any of this series (in terms of subject matter – Sage – and Suave – are always great). Suave’s intercuts came as a blessed release. That was… really kinda disturbing. I have to concur with penguintruth. Yeesh.
Please let Suave keep coming back!
Attack on tatas! It shouldn’t be so funny, and yet…
Damnit, I love Suave. That review was hilarous, and made me want to actually watch Eiken, even though I hate the supermassive tits current so prevalent in hentai and ecchi.
