Oh no Soundcloud. What static image will I look at now?

    • Jegsimmons

i didnt expect a Lewis gay joke.

    • Jegsimmons

History right now isnt looking back on channel awesome very fondly, especially michaud.

      • Sol Gill

I think that is a bit of an over statement. I think history will look back as Channel Awesome as important and good for the over all reviewer community. It did a great job promoting the careers of some of the funniest people, but it kind out lived its usefulness for most of the producers. It isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, but in due time it may fade out.

However I do agree with you on the sentiment that CA is not doing well PR wise now, and it kind of began to show its faults and cracks in the paint. Especially Mike Michaud and Rob Walker’s handling of Lupa being fired, and not managing harassment well.

        • Jegsimmons

oh dude, thats not even a percent of the shit thats been going on, and thats not even touching the quality of the material produced.

        • Josh

          Why did Lupa get fired?

          • Tommy Rankin

Basically in the end it was due to issues over ad use but it’s complicated and probably best if you read it for yourself to get the full picture:

            • Josh

So basically, it came down to backstage politics & other bullshit. Lovely.

            • Tommy Rankin

              Yeah, apparently so

I know you guys consider this show about “nothing” but Super Tool Shed is one of the few radio shows I really enjoy listening to. I look forward to every episode!

Seinfeld was about 4 horrible people lashing out at each other and the people around them.
Super Toolshed is two guys, and possibly guests, bsing for entertainment purposes.

      Also, Marc:
1: Thank you for all of your hard work.
2: Thank you for pulling Bennett back from the grossout stuff. It is appreciated.

    • Turbo Puns

Ya know I like Ben. I’ve had some fun twitter conversations with him in the past, and he’s probably one of the more down to earth content creators out there. I’m a huge fan of Marc too, and I’m guessing we’ll get another Super Toolshed complaining about the Pope’s visit to Philadelphia next week. That aside, I gotta say I’m a little disappointed in you Ben, there’s a lot of things you should take pride in, but baiting someone who was upset about their fan fic being made fun of, into getting so upset they used the word nigger is just as bad as her use of the word itself. Gotta say, I still like you but you lost some cred with me.

      • BennettTheSage

Chalk it up to youthful stupidity. Not an excuse, I know, and as I was retelling the story, I began to realize what kind of jackassery I was getting myself into.

        • Turbo Puns

I respect you took the time to answer, and I’m glad that you’re starting to see it maybe wasn’t your or her best moment. I get that it sounds like a funny story, but from an outside perspective she was a young, clearly underage girl, who reacted badly to her story being made fun of. I mean at her age I don’t think there’s anyone out there who wouldn’t have handled that situation badly. Like I said in my previous comment and just above, I still like you, and while I don’t agree with everything you do it makes it a little better you seem to understand it might not have been your finest moment either.

I dunno what’s worse: Proposing for marriage at a con, or the fact I work with someone who had a panel at a con just to get married there, I shit you not.

    • Lina Jones

I remember that girl. Hammamohamster or something like that. I remember that whole meltdown and hyper-apology.

    • Mathew Collier

Enjoying slightly irresponsible tales of Channel Awesome hijinx and Marc’s humble insecurity about success cheers guys – you guys are adorable

Amen on the idol worship. Something I’ve realized since I’ve become a actor is celebrity worship is boring.
